HELLO AND WELCOME TO CHETWYND ASTON & WOODCOTE 
PARISH COUNCIL

Hello and welcome to the the parish of Chetwynd Aston and Woodcote, we hope that you have settled in and enjoy living in our parish.

We have had a varied history from Roman settlements, lime kilns and a canal wharf, crashed planes and we were the Muster point for troops from the surrounding area for the Battle of Bosworth. One notable local Humphrey Cotes who was killed in the battle owned large areas of the parish with his home being Woodcote Hall, which over the years has been a Seminary, private home and a nightclub but is now a nursing home. We have a couple of pubs and a fitness centre and lots of bridle ways and lovely walks including the Hutchinson Way which crosses through the Parish check out https://www.alltrails.com

We take security seriously and have funded smartwater (forensic asset marking system) if you require a pack please get in touch with the parish council via info@cawpc.co.uk or telephone 07866 494411. We also have a Neighbourhood Watch scheme join on line via https://ourwatch.org.uk it is the Chetwynd Aston and Woodcote scheme.

Need to hold an event then check out Church Aston and Chetwynd Aston Village Hall on Wallshead Way, Church Aston which hold regular events, weekly exercise classes, cubs, beavers, scouts and is available for private bookings call 01952 810349 for further information.

We are adjoined to the market town of Newport which has shops, pubs, swimming pool, church and chapel, library and holds many events throughout the year and has several historic buildings. Https://allaboutnewport.co.uk
