HELLO AND WELCOME TO CHETWYND ASTON & WOODCOTE
Hello and welcome to the the parish of Chetwynd Aston and Woodcote, we hope that you have settled in and enjoy living in our parish.
We have had a varied history from Roman settlements, lime kilns and a canal wharf, crashed planes and we were the Muster point for troops from the surrounding area for the Battle of Bosworth. One notable local Humphrey Cotes who was killed in the battle owned large areas of the parish with his home being Woodcote Hall, which over the years has been a Seminary, private home and a nightclub but is now a nursing home.
