‘Put Yourself on the Map’- a Pop-Up Community Mapping Café Drop-In at the Wellington Methodist Church

  • Bring your leaflets and flyers to hand out to or leave on a table in the Community Café Mapping drop in area at ‘The Carers Wellbeing Fayre’ on Friday 30th November between 2.00pm & 6.00pm at Wellington Methodist Church, Telford.

  • We have a wide range of activities and support available in Telford & Wrekin, the difficulty is often sharing this information with local people and engaging with them to develop what is needed in the areas in which they live. We want to find ways of doing this better.

  • Part of strengthening local communities is about engaging with the people who live there and bringing them together with their community resources and buildings to plan and develop local support. They are best placed to know what is needed and how it can be shaped to suit them.

  • We would like to invite you to ‘Put yourself on the Map’ in Telford & Wrekin. We particularly want each local community centre and Wellbeing Hubs Network members to come along on 30th November to put themselves on the map as a building or other resource.

  • We are at the same time inviting carers and the general public to place their location on the map with a record of what activities and support are not available locally but which they would use if they were.

  • We would like to develop a small map for each area as a handout for carers and other local people as a result of the event and link it to Live Well Telford the new online directory.
